The Bat House

This is rubble stone built using a lime based mortar with bath ashlar stone palisters, arched niches and arched doorway under a timber constructed roof with Delabole slate laid in diminishing courses with four lead valleys, one with steps leading to Dove cote.

The interior comprises three stories - cellar, oubliette, ground floor and mezzanine floor with oak staircase and oak door to front elevation.

The building is designed using three levels and internal materials to create different temperature zones for the bats.
